CLYDE will lead a hike in French Creek State Park. We will follow the Horse Shoe Trail to a junction with the Turtle Trail and then to a turn onto the Ridge Trail where we will hike to the summit of William’s Hill. While building a small fire in the pavilion to warm ourselves, we can view the Fire Tower and surrounding area that actually belongs to the Pennsylvania State Forest. (Bring your own Marshmallows for toasting!) The group will return on the Ridge Trail to resume our clockwise hike on the Turtle Trail and finally returning to our starting point via the Boone Trail. Lunch stop afterwards is optional.
