Thursday July 7, 2011 - Appalachian Trail
HERB “Hopeful Herb” will conduct a “trail angel” event. The through hikers are coming through at the end of June and early July on the Appalachian Trail. Our mission would be to set up a manned “greet & meet” station for about 4 to 5 hours. We would supply cold drinks and snacks to welcome and treat the through hikers. We would take turns manning the station while some of us could hike to Bear Rocks or Bake Oven Knob. The station could be set up where Lake Leasure Road crosses the Appalachian Trail. Herb will coordinate this event and let us know what to contribute.
