LES will lead a road hike of roughly 5.5 miles in the Lobachsville area. We begin at Weidner Grove Park, created in 2013. Sites include historic stone mills and homes, including the Pott homestead, and several old, converted 1 room schools. We will cross Pine Creek several times and have some scenic views along the way.

Thursday October 2, 2014 - Appalachian Trail / Rausch Gap
GROVER (DICK) will lead a shuttle hike of 7 to 8 miles encompassing a section of the Appalachian Trail in the Rausch Gap and a Rail-to-Trail section leading to Gold Mine Rd. The first three miles will be a strenuous uphill climb and then moderate after that. Carry a lunch to enjoy while resting at Rausch Creek.

Thursday September 25, 2014 - Leesport / Schuylkill River Trail
RICHARD will lead a hike on part of the Schuylkill River Trail. This hike will be including a short section in Ontelaunee Township that was just completed this year. We will hike around the village of Leesport, as well.
