MARGARET will lead a Walk in the White Clay Creek Preserve on the Mason Dixon Trail and other trails along White Clay Creek for 5-7 miles in this Southern Chester County park to cross the state line into Delaware. Adverse weather will cancel this hike. Call leader if in doubt.

Thursday Mar 10, 2016 - French Creek

HERB has planned a 5-6 mile late winter hike in the French Creek State Park near the Scott's Run Lake area. This is a circle hike starting at a parking lot near the lake and walking on the Horse Shoe Trail and other trails and park roads. We will visit the old abandoned fire tower and circle back to the cars. There will be some hills and rocks. Lunch after is an option.

Thursday Mar 3, 2016 - Shartlesville Roads

ANN will lead a pleasant, easy 5 to 6 mile all roads walk in Northern Berks County. We will walk along the Northkill Creek to Green Acres Golf Course and return to our starting point. Dining at the Blue Mountain Family Restaurant is optional.

Thursday Feb 25, 2016 - Schuylkill River Trail

KATHY will lead a 5 - 6 mile hike on the Schuylkill River Trail from Gibraltar to Birdsboro. This is all roads walking, which may be good for this time of winter. However; inclement weather will cancel this event, so check with leader if questionable.

Thursday Feb 18, 2016 - Wernersville

GERRY & WILLIE will lead the Wernersville Road Hike. We will hike 5 to 5.5 miles on all roads thru cemeteries, the Jesuit Novitiate property and housing developments. Expect lots of hills, just can’t be avoided in Wernersville! We will check out the labyrinth on our way back to our cars, if it’s not covered over with snow. Optional lunch suggestion afterwards is The Red Plate Diner which is open until 2:00 P.M.

MEET: 10:00 A.M. @ St. John’s (Hain’s) U.C.C. Church on South Church Rd. in Wernersville.

DIRECTIONS: Traveling west on Rte. 422 and entering town, turn right at 1st traffic light. Continue uphill past all houses and passing the small cemeteries and church. Follow curve on road and to end of the fence, then turn right into church lot and park there.
