DAVID will lead the Falls of Swatara, a 4-5 mile moderate, scenic hike in Schuylkill County. Swatara Falls is a single drop 25 foot waterfall in a deep mountain ravine of the Broad Mountain. After viewing the falls we will return to explore one of the first projects of Project Scarlift which began in the 1970's. Later we can opt for lunch at Behm's Rest.

Thursday Aug 4, 2016 - Middle Creek
MICHAEL will lead a 6-7 mile hike in the Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area. We will be following the tour road, so the first few miles will be in the sun. The second half will be on the shaded unpaved road. Lunch option afterwards to be decided.

Thursday Jul 28, 2016 - Muhlenberg Township
AL will lead a 5 -6 miles hike in Muhlenberg Twp. Starting at the Laurel Run Recreational Park. This hike involves various terrain, such as, woodland trail with some hills, grassy fields, macadam paths and some road walking. Come prepared for the weather, carry water and insect repellent. Opt for lunch after hiking.

DIRECTIONS: Take route 12 to exit at River Road and travel north on River Road for an approximate mile to the park entrance on the right side, just before the stop sign at Leiz's Bridge Road.
