Thursday Sep 6, 2018 - Swatara State Park

BEVERLY has planned to lead an easy to moderate 4 mile hike at Swatara State Park in Lebanon County, starting at the Trout Run Trail Head Parking Lot off RT 72. There are moderate hills and few rocks. We will be hiking part of the AT and other trails to make it a loop. Remains of Union Canal locks and the AT bridge will be included. Lunch is optional afterwards at Esther’s in Fredericksburg.

1st MEET: 9:00 A.M. @ Old Church Road Parking Lot at Blue Marsh.
2nd MEET 9:45 A.M. @ the Trout Run Trail Head parking lot.

Thursday Aug 30, 2018 - New Hanover Township

LES will lead a relatively flat 5 mile road hike in New Hanover Township in Montgomery County. Among the sites will be historic New Hanover Lutheran Church, and in the distance, the equally historic Falkner Swamp Reformed Church.
