Thursday Aug 15, 2019 - French Creek

MIKE will lead a strenuous hike on the Turtle Trail at French Creek State Park for 6.2 miles. We will walk, on the road, ¼ mile to the trailhead for the Turtle Trail. The trail is hilly, narrow and rocky. Hiking boots (not shoes) are recommended. If you have hiking poles and insect repellent or a mosquito net, bring them along. Heavy rain cancels. Did I mention the trail is rocky? Bring an extra pair of shoes to change into after the hike. Your feet will appreciate it. Optional lunch afterwards will be at the Exeter Family Restaurant.
