Hike leader will lead a 4-to-6-mile hike along the Warwick-to-Ephrata Rail Trail. Distance will be determined by the weather and the wishes of the hikers. We will head west from the Parkview Heights parking lot and return on the same trail.
Meeting place: 10:00 AM at Parkview Heights trailhead.
Directions: Take Route 222 south. Exit at Ephrata (Route 322) and
proceed toward Ephrata. Pass the initial shopping (Walmart, Giant). Turn
left at Bethany Rd (It may be the first left after the shopping. There
is a traffic light here.) After about 1/3 mile turn right onto Parkview
Heights Rd. Proceed about 1 mile. The trailhead is to the right about
where Steinmetz Rd connects to the left.

An easy to moderate 4 mile loop
We will hike the Dog Lake and Switchback Trails.

Directions: From Route 183 north, turn left at the CVS onto W. Leesport Road. Turn right onto County Welfare Road. At stop sign, turn left onto Palisades Road, then right into the Stilling Basin.

We will be on the Gravity Trail and Ferndale Trail plus other Trails. We will be passing Kuechler's Roost, the Kiedeisch stone cellar, and hope to find an old cistern. There will be some hills to climb.

After about a mile turn right at a traffic light with Mt Penn Family Restaurant on the
left and European Motors on the right. Go down the hill, and at the 'Y' (Arbor Inn across the street), turn left. Go thru the traffic light at St Lawrence Ave, then take the
first left crossing the Antietam Creek onto Harvey Ave. Continue to Carsonia Ave,
then turn right. Proceed to the stop sign at the 'T'. Bear left onto Antietam Rd. Take the first left onto Angora Rd and follow it to the horseshoe bend and the
parking lot on the left.

Directions: Take Route 61 North to Route 895. It is 16 miles north of Route 222. Turn right and travel 2.5 miles to Hawk Mountain Road. Turn right and travel 3.8 miles to Pine Swamp Road. Turn right and travel .8 miles to a dirt road on the right. This is the entrance to the parking lot.

Hills are quite moderate but there are a lot of them. Very pleasant walk through the woods. Be aware this is a mountain biking trail. WEAR ORANGE TO BE SAFE. We may explore, maybe.

DIRECTIONS: From State Hill Road turn Left onto Brownsville Road. Turn RIGHT onto
Highland Road at Spitler’s Collision. (Approx. 1.7 miles) The road is not maintained
and very rutty. The Trailhead is on the RIGHT side.

The hike will include sections of the Horsehoe Trail, the Turtle Trail, the Ridge Trail, the Boone Trail, and the Lenape Trail. WOW!

Directions: From Route 724 in Birdsboro, take Route 345 south toward French Creek state Park. Go about 2 miles, then turn right onto Geigertown Road (first right turn after Kulptown Fire Company) Travel about 1.5 miles and take the first left turn onto Firetower Road. Travel another 1.6 miles and turn left onto the road that leads up the hill to the fire tower. The parking area is to the right soon after this turn.

We will begin at the Colebrook trailhead and head west. We're seeing where the horseshoe trail crosses the Rail Trail. The trail goes through woods and farmland. Hopefully, we will find the parking lot near the county line for future hikes.
It is an in-and-out relatively flat hike, so hikers can turn around whenever they like.
Meeting place: 10:00 A.M. at the Colebrook trailhead.
Directions: From Womelsdorf, take Route 419 West/South toward Newmanstown.
Stay on Route 419 through Cornwall. Turn south onto Route 72. After 2-3 miles turn
onto Route 117 West and follow it through Mt Gretna. About 3 miles after Mt Gretna,
route 117 makes a hard right and crosses the rail to trail; that’s where the large
parking lot is located.

The hike will be 5.2 miles along the Blue Marsh Lake Trail. There are two hills to traverse but they are not gut busters. The duration of the hike is 2 to 2-1/2 hours.

Directions: Travel West on Brownsville Road 1.5 miles from the intersection of State Hill Road at Ganly’s Pub. Turn right on Highlands Road and travel 1.3 miles to Parking Lot. The road to the parking lot is in good shape as of 4/1.

We will pass the recently cleared out lock 27, then pass the ruins of lock 26, then
loop back to Port Clinton passing the Port Clinton Cemetery.

Directions: Route 61 North to Port Clinton, then left onto Broad Street, then left onto Pine Street, then right onto Schuylkill Street. Park along the fence.

We begin by checking how an old trail feeds into a new trail, then continue on to the Witch's Hat and the overlook. We will walk along the north side of the mountain, then cross over to the south side for our return. There will be two good hill climbs.
Meeting place: 9:45 AM in the front corner of Boscov's East, nearest the Route 422 bypass. From here we shuttle to the start.

We will go on a fairly easy hike from Hopewell Lake Boat Launch to Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site and return. Call if the weather looks iffy.

We’ll walk along the shore of Lake Ontelaunee. Relatively easy hike. Will be canceled in the event of extreme cold, rain, or heavy snow.

Directions: From Reading, take US-222 north to Moselem Springs, then take Route
662 North. After you cross the big bridge, the parking lot is on your left.

Leader will lead a hike of up to 5.5 miles on the Lebanon Valley Rail Trail. We will begin at Mt Gretna and head west. It has been a long time since we have done this. It is an in-and-out relatively flat hike so hikers can turn around whenever they like

Hike will begin at Morlatton Village. The first part will be on the Old Philadelphia Pike. We then cut over to return on the Schuylkill River Trail. The terrain is flat. For those willing, the hike can be extended in several ways depending on the wishes of those present. Options include a visit to St Gabriel's Church graveyard, to walk to the trail bridge over the Schuylkill River, or closer inspection of the historic buildings in Morlatton Village.

Directions: From Route 422 eastbound, as you leave Douglassville, take the right turn lane at the traffic light (Royal Farms to the left) onto River Bridge Road. Cross the railroad bridge, then take the first right turn onto Old Philadelphia Pike. After approximately one block, the parking lot will be on your left.

TOUR AND WALK: We will have a 15 minute tour of the buildings (one is an Airbnb ) by Mic, and then we’re free to walk the 6 acre hilly campground; there is a loop Walk (not sure how long), but thought we could walk one way and then do it backwards if we want more distance. There are 5 buildings we’ll have access to including the Airbnb: gym, kitchen, personal cabin, chalet for family and mosque.
AFTERWARDS: We can sit in the indoor heated kitchen (original 18 people and 6 people tables and Mic can add a folding table if needed) and eat our own BYO lunch or Roman Delight is close by for those who want to eat out or order in.
