Thursday, March 8, 2012 - Blue Marsh

KATHY & KAY “The Dynamic Duo” will lead us on the second hike in the Blue Marsh series. This trek of 6.5 miles will begin at mile marker 5 and continue past mile marker 11 to Peacock Road parking lot. We will travel Highland Road one last time to shuttle to our starting point. This will be the worst shuttle of the series, so we ask everyone to be patient. The terrain involves a few small hills, mostly through woodland. Some areas may be muddy, especially along creek banks. There will be nice views of the lake and some historic buildings along the way. Please wear orange as there may be hunters on the trails and note that heavy snow or ice will cancel this event.

MEET: 9:30 A.M. @ State Hill Boat Launch scenic overlook on Brownsville Road. Don’t drive down to the lake, stay up and enjoy the view until all arrive.

TELEPHONE: Kathy 610-603-9461 or Kay 610-796-7602 if questions arise.
