PARK DIRECTIONS: Union Canal Tunnel Park: 10 AM Rt 422 West to Lebanon, Turn right at 25th St (in Lebanon) after the Lebanon Valley Mall. and proceed 0.9 miles through the traffic light and stone tunnel under the railroad tracks, and turn left into the parking lot at the intersection of 25th St. and Union Canal Drive. NOT the Lebanon Valley Trailhead.

HERB has mapped an easy 4-5 mile shuttle hike in the French Creek State Park area. We will walk around Mt. Pleasure using Harmonyville Road, the ever winding Horse-Shoe Trail, and other park roads and trails. The trees should be in full color and mirrored in Hopewell Lake, as we walk by. There will be few hills and rocks. Lunch afterwards is an option.

KAY will hike approximately 4 miles in a lollypop loop from Brentwood parking. Starting on Schuylkill River Trail to Wyomissing Trail and cross over the new pedestrian bridge spanning Wyomissing Creek. The bridge was built to join the disc golf course at West Reading Playground. Always dress appropriately for the weather.

LES will lead a 5 mile hike near Ontelaunee Lake beginning at Kindt's Corner. We will utilize the wooded trails above West Shore Drive as far as they go, then return via West Shore Drive itself. The hike can be shortened by placing a car at the unused bridge to eliminate the road walk back to Kindt's Corner.

DIRECTIONS: Taking Route 61 north, pass Route 73, turn right at the Sheetz onto Ashley Way. Go to the Stop sign at Ontelaunee Drive, turn left. Take the first right onto Kindt's Corner Rd. Continue about 2/3 mile to the parking area on the right. Shoemakersville Rd is to the left.

MARK will be taking us through a Horseshoe Trail Clean Up. This occurs on the section of the trail that our club periodically maintains. This section spans from Knauers to Adamstown; however, we may not cover all of it at this time. Bring loppers and trimming tools, also work gloves, water and plenty of good humor. Wear long pants and long sleeve shirt to avoid poison ivy. This is a good time to give back to the community with some trail maintenance. Lunch is an option afterwards.
