HERB will lead a hike of 5 -6 miles in Money Rocks Park near Narvon, Pa. This is a woodland circuitous hike on the Welsh Mountain with one medium ascent. Legend has it that early settlers buried their money and precious belongings here when they thought the British might invade the area during the Revolutionary War. There should be some fall wildflowers blooming that we can enjoy. Afterwards, for those interested, there could be a short stop in a traditional Amish/Mennonite flower garden for cold garden tea and cookies. Restaurant stop later is optional.
Meeting place: 9:30 A.M. @ Windmill Restaurant parking lot off Rtes. 23 & 10.
