LES will lead a 6 mile road hike in Exeter and Amity Townships to view historical sites. The hike will begin at the Daniel Boone Homestead and follow rural roads, while taking in the country scenery. In addition to the historical buildings at the Homestead, we will visit the Exeter Friend’s Meeting House, which is still in use, and the original Brown’s Feed Mill.
MEET: 10:00 A.M. @ Wayside Lodge parking area of the Daniel Boone Homestead.
DIRECTIONS: From Reading, travel east on route 422 and take the 1st left turn after the traffic light at route 345 (the former route 82 to Birdsboro). There is a sign for Daniel Boone Homestead here.
