Thursday August 22, 2013 - Maiden Creek

AL will lead a 5 mile hike along the Maiden Creek in Ontelaunee Township. After viewing the spillway of Lake Ontelaunee into the Maiden Creek we will walk on the Freedom Trail through the Blue Falls Picnic Grove. Then cross over Wiley’s Bridge which is scheduled to be demolished by the Township in the fall of this year. This may be the last time we can do this hike. We will continue following the trail to the Berkley Water Works and return. Wear good hiking shoes and carry water, sunscreen and insect repellant.

1st MEET: 9:45A.M. @ Redner’s Market parking lot off Rte. 61 in Leesport to car pool. There is limited parking at the Dam Breast parking lot.

2nd MEET: 10:00 A.M. @ Lake Ontelaunee Dam Breast parking off Rte. 73.
