HERB has planned a 4-4+ mile walk at the Nolde Forest Environmental Center. We will shuttle to a parking lot at the top and do some of the trails in that area. Much of the hike is downhill on wide trails and woods roads. The leaves may be mostly fallen and we will see the bare trees and hear the leaves crunch under foot! We will check out the work being done on the washed out dam at the Painted Turtle Pond and try to find the remains of the famous “Lone Pine”.
We will end at the Church Road parking lot. Lunch afterwards is an option.
MEET: 10:00 AM @ Church Road parking lot off Route 625, to shuttle cars to top.
