Thursday Sep 22, 2022 - Birdsboro Watershed

LES will lead a 4 to 4.5 mile hike in the Birdsboro watershed. On this first day of autumn, we will hike the road, then up to and circle the fir tree lined reservoir. Next on the agenda is a walk to the rock climbing wall. Return will be in the woods on the opposite side of Hay Creek. For those interested in more walking, an extra leg can be added to loop around the second reservoir.

MEET: 10:00 AM @ Hay Creek Rd (former Route 82) across from the former White Bear Inn south of Birdsboro.

DIRECTIONS: From the traffic light in Gibraltar at the Turkey Hill, travel east on Route 724 1.2 miles. Take the first right turn at the sign for Hillcrest Hall Bingo, cross railroad tracks, turn left on Old River Rd, then almost immediately right onto Rock Hollow Rd. Drive 2.8 miles on Rock Hollow, cross Cocalico Rd, then drive another 1.1 miles to the first stop sign at Hay Creek Rd. Turn left and drive .7 miles to the parking area. This is approximately .1 mile past 2 Elk Trail Lane.

TELEPHONE: Les 610-850-1855 with questions.
