Thursday July 10, 2014 - Maiden Creek

AL will lead a 5 mile hike in Ontelaunee Township along the Maiden Creek. After viewing the spillway of Lake Ontelaunee into the Maiden Creek we will walk on the Freedom Trail through the Blue Falls Picnic Grove. Then cross over the Wiley’s Bridge which still remains, due to controversy. Many advocates want the bridge to remain for hikers and bikers. We will continue to follow the trail along Maiden Creek to Berkley Water Works and return. Wear good hiking shoes; carry water, sunscreen and insect repellant.

MEET: 9:00 A.M. @ Redner’s Market parking lot off Route 61 N. in Leesport to carpool for a short hop to the Dam Breast parking lot with limited parking.

TELEPHONE: Al 610-929-9694 with questions.
