Thursday Dec 23, 2021 - Valley Forge

DOUG will lead a 3.6-mile loop hike in Valley Forge National Park.

In honor of Washington’s brave troops, who stayed at Valley Forge many winters ago, we will walk the Mount Misery trail at Valley Forge Park. This is a moderately difficult hike. We will walk up hill and pass the ruins of the historic Colonial Springs water bottling structures on the downside. Turning around at Washington’s Headquarters, we will return along Valley Creek and climb back up Mount Misery on the Wolfinger Trail to the parking lot.

(Note: some parking lots at Valley Forge are closed due to the recent flooding.)
