Thursday Dec 30, 2021 - Boyertown Reservoir

LES will lead a 5.5 mile road hike in the Boyertown Watershed. Weather permitting there will be a number of scenic views and two reservoirs to see. There is an option to cut the last mile off of this hike. Snowy or icy roads cancel this hike.

MEET: 10 AM in the rear of the Trout Run Reservoir. GPS: 40.336395, -75.701062

DIRECTIONS: Traveling east on Route 422, as you approach Douglassville, the Route 422 eastbound and westbound lanes separate. A block after they separate is a traffic light at Old Airport Rd. Turn left onto Old Airport Rd. After 2.5 miles you reach Amityville. Continue straight on Old Airport Rd, through the traffic light at Route 662, and on until you reach a stop sign at Route 562 (1.4 miles). In front of you will be an old hotel, now painted white on one side and green on the other. Turn right, then immediately left onto Powder Mill Rd adjacent to the old hotel. Continue on Powder Mill Rd. You will come to a reservoir on the left. Parking is in the rear (about 2 miles from Route 562).

TELEPHONE: Leader Les 610-323-1703 with questions.
